Well, here we finally are. The final stage of the game. I’ve pretty much pimped out all the upgrades I can.
第終話:破界の世紀
Stage 50/Final: Era of Destruction
Here’s my final squad. For the final stage, we get to deploy 24 units.
The Great Axion, followed by a fuckton of DMs show up (including 2 new boss types we haven’t seen before).
Being the final stage, there is no SR Point.
Because there is no time limit, and Gaiou will inevitably be the final boss, the key here is being conservative. This means not using SP if not needed.
Colonies, Asteriods, been there, dropped that!
End of turn 1.
These DM bosses have a move which halves the pilot stats, so it’s not a good idea to get hit by them (like my Getter and GL did).
Turn 2. I begin by retreating GL so he can recover from 1/2 stats. Getter can just switch pilots so it can keep on killing.
Aquarion is my freaking MVP, as with the Element system active, is the only person other than Amuro who has enough skill to support attack themselves.
All my UC aces start hitting the 130 morale mark.
End of turn 2. Setsuna and Alto whittle down the guys at the top. I also send the 3 UC aces to go tank the guy at the bottom left. He has a 0% chance to hit any of them. Finally I retreat from the bottom right corner, since I don’t want to have to deal with the 1/2 stats and MAP attack of the boss.
Turn 3. The bottom right corner mobs move in.
End of turn 3.
Turn 4. The bottom right DMs have moved in to attack.
End of turn 4. Most of the weaker DMs are dead, it just the Dino DMs and the boss types.
Turn 5. The Great Axion finally decides to move up.
Finally the boss at bottom left goes down.
End of turn 5. It’s pretty hard only having the one repairer (Ptolemy) as the damage keeps coming in.
Turn 6.
End of turn 6. I still haven’t used much seishin at all, running and blocking when my supers get damaged. Amruo has gone to tanking the other boss.
By the end of turn 7, only the Great Axion and one DM remains.
The big DM goes for the map attack, thankfully it’s not so damaging.
Mazinger and Aquarion finally take out the last boss DM, leaving Great Axion by itself.
End of turn 8. I begin the process of repairing and resupplying all my units…slowly. Meanwhile Camille goes off to tank the Axion.
Turn 14. I’ve finally R&Red all my guys. Great Axion is at 6K so I can kill it at a moments notice.
As a test run…
Gaiou spawns at the north. Which means…
Turn 25 and I have saved Gaiou a special seat at the FUCK YOU table.
Amuro takes out the Great Axion for real this time.
“So,” Gaiou asks Crow?. “What do you fight for?”
Top choice is, ‘Fight for justice’. Bottom choice, ‘To fight the strongest there is’.
By picking ‘I want to fight the strongest’ (bottom option), you’ll get another dialogue choice confirming that you’re nuts. Don’t try this at home (unless you’re well prepared like myself of course :D)
Because we answered the bottom 2 choices, Gaiou is at level 99, and has a fully upgraded mech (although I didn’t take a screenshot of it).
Now here’s the challenge. Can we kill Gaiou and his two buddies…IN ONE TURN?
Well for starters, let’s get Zero to tell everyone to…
SUICIDE ATTACK
And Analyse on all these guys so they take 1.1x damage.
Time for some Newtype spam.
With the help of a Propellant Tank, I get 4 Mega Bazooka Launchers supported by VX Spigot for a good 60,000 damage on one.
Time for Amuro.
That’s one down.
Amuro’s 8x Fin Funnel Spam takes the other one down to 4500.
I use Mazinger to finish him off. At least he gets a free move after killing it.
Now it’s just Gaiou remaining, and I’m still in good shape.
My next move is to Morale down the bastard.
He’s down to 54 morale…
Time for the battle report. Camille does 32K with Souled Hyper Beam Saber.
Getter does 25K with Change attack.
Alto gets a good 22K off with his final missile attack.
Aquarion 24K. At this stage Gaiou is still ?????
Shin – 12K
Godmars -18K
Giga Drill Special knocks off another good 20K.
Aquarion does another 22K with move again.
50K to go!
Trider/Daitarn/Zambot – 22K, with 29K to go.
DanNova – 16K. 12K left. Who gets the final attack?
Everyone.
Gaiou laughs off his defeat and just blows up. Wanker.
The team breathes a sigh of relief as they discuss their plans.
The team splits up as they each return to their own lives.
The world is safe again…or is it?
There’s a few short scenes afterwards, showing turmoil still in Tokyo…
OZ is still at large…
The Meisters are cornered by GN-Xes and the Ptolemy is destroyed…
Dr Saotome is still alive…
NOT SOON ENOUGH
Well that brings the Let’s Play SRWZ2 to a close. I’ll probably go back and replay the other route splits later, but I need a break from these writeups for now. I hope you’ve enjoyed this playthrough as much as I did writing it, please leave any comments on what you liked, didn’t, and how I can make the inevitable Let’s Play SRW Z2.2 better when it comes out. Peace out.
– YJ
NICE ONE =D
cool….
Tip: There’s a Seishin that restores SP by 50 that several of the characters have. If you need to provide some extra Move Again/Valor/Soul, casting this to restore the points for your selected heavy hitter might come in handy.
Amuro = Killed both his buddies through this tactic. Hope this comes in handy for YJ and others.
This stage is nigh IMPOSSIBRU, the enemies always go for either the Ptolemy or characters with high SP and good seishin, none of my mechs are fully upgraded BTW.
were do you fight gaiou in space or earth? so I can use my FUBs to either upgrade to L/A for Earth or L/S for Space
You fight Gaiou on the moon. Gaiou himself is flying (counts as space), but if you land on the moon it counts as Land.
you can transfer your file of super robot wars hakai-hen or not you cant that is my question thanks
@Forte
Wished that I had found out about this site sooner. I beat the English rom of this game, but it didn’t have the story line. Still a really good rom in terms of everything else though. Thanks for your hard work.
@jay
Whoops. Didn’t mean to reply to Forte. Sorry.
