Well I finally bite the bullet and give Exia full weapons upgrade. A whole bunch of people get Continuous Action as well, Yoko, Shinobu, Chirico and Loran.
A lot of backstory prior to this scenario, starting off with a rather lighthearted conversation on who should take Ranka back to the ground level, and Siscon naturally going bananas over some of the suggestions of the crew. He bans almost every other known playboy in the universe as well as Athrun, prompting “Huh?”s from the latter.
Eventually it’s Renton who Ranka herself decides on, since she wishes to chat with him. Ozma feels that he’s not dangerous (“And I’m dangerous?” – Athrun)
After Renton drops Ranka off, he is accosted and knocked out by Holland, who then is stopped by Crowe (on explicit orders of Ozma who guessed that the Gekko Go crew would do something like that), but then Crow is accosted by Maguritte, allowing Holland to transfer Renton back to the Gekko Go. Margie herself is stopped with the appearance of Asakim (a lot of one-upping here) and retreats. Crowe wishes to thank him, but Asakim reminds him once more that he is still gunning for his life ^^; However, he helps Crowe one last time by telling him the location of where Holland and co went to: The Vodara Palace.
The stage switches to that very Palace, where the Gekko Go is now docked. Renton again gets hit while being told about the reason why they’re in such a hurry to recreate the “Legend”, to open up a pathway to Neverland, where time does not move, so that they will no longer age so dramatically. Apparently Renton is the “Peter” they are looking for, while Eureka is “Wendy”. After they leave, Nirvash and The End meet each other and start some sort of a sound effect war.
Meanwhile, Holland visits the (very old) Anemone, who was apparently Dominic’s lover/fiancee in this timeline. She mentions that the time to reach the time of Legend is near, but asks Eureka instead of Holland if she’s ready, plus more cryptic speech between them and their link to the Image, angering Holland. His anger is put on hold as the Image attack!
Phew.
第38話:果たされる約束
Stage 38: The Fulfilled Promise
Loooong map is long.
Anyway the goal for now is to stop these Images from entering the white area, and complete the stage by end of player turn 6 for the SR Point.
End of turn 1. With accelerate and focus, I manage to reach the Image forces and defeat one.
At the start of turn 2, ZEXIS arrive.
Here’s the map after ZEXIS arrive.
End of turn 2. Manage to get 2 kills, the rest block the path.
Turn 3. Some of the Images ignore my guys and just keep going.
I power up DanNova so I can get 3 moves again.
After another 2 kills there’s an event.
Ahh fuck.
Akasim appears puts Aim back in his place…for now.
That’s…
Amuro fuckin Ray
He Fin Funnels the crap out of Akasim and sends him packing.
Oh and it’s Quattro.
Again, Asakim comes to the rescue, forcing Aeim to retreat, with Marguritte as his protective shield. Asakim, seeing that the Wavering Scales has started to awaken, goes after Crow next, but is blindsided by Amuro and Quattaro, who appear right on time to assist, and retreats. Crow dosen’t understand why he’s being targeted by the Cursed Wanderer of course, but the ZEUTH gang does. It’s also at this point that Amuro remarks that Char is wavering himself, perhaps a sign of things to come?
It’s still turn 3.
After another few kills…
A rogue Image manages to make it to the area.
There’s a short scene.
…back at the Tower where Renton is attempting to be peacemaker between Nirvash and TheEnd. Explosions break his jail, and he falls to an odd area where he finally meets Master Dominic (or rather, his soul?) who then leads him to realise what he really wants.
Eureka of course ^_^;
Nirvash and TheEnd fuse together with Renton’s manly desire, and he finally gets his Spec-V along with epic music once more. Not Sakura, but still epic. He gets Eureka back with him inside Nirvash, forcing Holland to beat a hasty retreat.
We finally get the Nirvash SpecV
Back to the killing
End of turn 3.
Turn 4.
Even super robots can BRO FIST
End of turn 4. Only 5 DMs left,
Turn 5.
I finally have the Daitarn, Zambot and Trider set up going.
End of turn 5.
Turn 6.
The rest of the mobs go down.
And I leave you with Fin Funnel…LAST SHOOTING ver
Post-scenario has Eureka explaining her original role as the Image’s spy robot, to gather information on the human population so as to allow them easier access to exterminate all life on the planet. The loverboy team of course dissuade them from having suicidal thoughts, and the girls stop her from thinking about it. Anemone appears near the end of the conversation, shocking the ZEUTH team a little, but they get over it rather quickly.
In the meantime, ZEUTH members explain that since he’s being targeted by Asakim for the sole reason that he’s a Sphere holder, which is doubly confirmed since they’ve been calling him the Wavering Scales. Roger asks if he feels alright, especially after the dramatic events surrounding the Sorrowful Maiden and the Wounded Lion causing the Sphere holders to eventually lose their five senses (I guess being a zombie saved Mail from the pain? ^^;). Since nothing like that has happened yet, it goes to show that his Sphere is nowhere near awakened yet.
Oh yes, Firebug. Apparently it was a superbad group with a superbad reputation of being fire-starters while as a unit in the Britannia Union. Nothing more is mentioned of it, since Crowe did not want to mention much of it.
More talk about Treize (who was hosting Amuro and Char) and Scheizel, both of whom are still sitting happily in the background while the world revolves. The Wing boys still can’t understand his motives, neither do we understand Tereda’s for not even moving the Wing story one bit. The chit-chat is cut by the news that Chirico’s allies have found the secret base where the Red Shoulders have been hiding.
We are also told by the Ptolemy crew that only S and M sized units are allowed to enter the base for the mission…err…
