Last Sunday I attended my first ever modelling show/meet-up/competition. Funnily enough, this event was about a 5 minute drive from where I live, and has been going on for at least a few years without me knowing about it.
I figured that if I couldn’t even make this one, I’d never have enough confidence to go to GBWC.

Attending the show was Scott Taylor (Ghost of Zeon) from Scale Modellers’ Supply. I finally got to meet him in person after 10 years, despite being in the same state! Check out his Facebook page for the complete list of entries.
He had his Zeon dinosaur and Vanship on display, which both took out placements in various categories:
I displayed my V2 Gundam (dodgy hand and all). Sadly it didn’t place, but I feel like it’s a small step towards me being able to attend larger events like GBWC and Modeller’s Expo next year. Now I just need to figure out what to build / how to build it…
