All the way from April 2016 comes a kit from my photography backlog, the Frame Arms Baselard! I originally picked up this kit when I went to Japan in the same year. I really love the design of the kit, it reminds me of something from Virtual On crossed with a Flag from 00. The rifle design is really cool as well allowing for multiple variations and ways to mount it on the kit.
This was only my second Kotobukiya kit, but it’s far easier to put together than say a Super Robot Wars kit. All the armour pretty much snaps straight onto the frame, and the only seamline are on the weapons. You still get typical Koto issues like tight fitting parts though.
A funny story is that when I while I was painting this kit for the first time, I was doing an audit on the parts by counting them in pairs and found that I was missing one of the light blue parts. I ended up shelving the build until a replacement kit arrived.
Fast forward a few weeks and second kit arrives in the mail, I open it up only to realize that I was never actually missing a part, the reason why I had an odd number of blue parts was because there’s only one for the crotch 🙁
Anyway since I now have a spare Baselard I will probably do another build this time using the revised frame that has better articulation, decals, and I’ll use the optional Extend parts as well.

Action Poses
The pre-built frames that the original run of Frame Arms kits comes with are pretty bad for articulation, so this pose is pretty much the best I could do.
