I’ve always been a massive fan of the music used in Super Robot Wars PVs and trailers, and have had this somewhat personal mission to track down as many as I can over the years. Unfortunately there really isn’t much else to it other than using Spotify/Shazam which can be extremely unreliable due to the sound effects and voices in the trailers.
That is until late last week, when I had a massive breakthrough, discovering about 6-7 songs one after the other used in PVs ranging from Original Generations 2 to Z3 Tengoku Hen. It all started when I recognized a piece of music used in one of Sami Zayn’s return packages which WWE had created, which was also from the Z3 Trailer. Luckily there were no sound effects plastered over the video which allowed Spotify to get a positive hit on my first lead – A Hero Rides With Us by Aaron Sapp.
Feeling my luck, I decided to google the composer and struck gold again, finding out that he had written a few other pieces used in PVs, including the Original Generations 2 one which I had never expected to find.
So thank you Sami Zayn. It sucks that you got injured, but at least it helped me find some awesome pieces of music!
