Famitsu have released some new screenshots and systems info on the upcoming 3rd Super Robot Wars Z Jigoku Hen. These include Maximum Break, and the D-Trader system.
Maximum Break
- Maximum Break can only be used when Tag Tension is at maximum level.
- The sub unit can use any weapon to attack, instead of the normal ‘Assist’ weapon
- Range limits of the sub-unit weapon is also ignored, and all weapons will be treated as Post-Movement
- The main and sub-unit will gain a 1.2x damage bonus
- Maximum Break ignores barriers, counter, support defend<
- After Maximum Break, Tag Tension is reset to 0
At full tension gauge, the Maximum Break Command will appear.
In this case both the sub unit (EVA-0) and main unit (Mazinger Z) attack a single enemy unit with Maximum break.
ALL Attacks can also be used in Maximum Break. Here the M9D and the Scopedog both use ALL attacks on the enemy tag unit.
D-Trader System
Similar to the Bazaar system in Z1, you can purchase additional items using a secondary ‘Z-chip’ currency.
- Parts and items can be purchased using Z-Chips obtained by defeating enemies
- Some parts require special conditions to be fulfilled before you can purchase them.
- There will be special events involving your ace pilots in the D-Trader
hope they allow you to also purchase additional mobile suits from the bazaar or add-on attacks to your main units
YJ any idea when’s pv 2
Jeez, big intermission menu there.
Maximum Break… I’m curious how useful it’ll be if the ignore post movement and range limit factors only apply to the subunit. Maybe we can carry around the Gundam DX and Satellite Cannon fools post-movement?
@MJ
Wait, hold on a minute… now that you point it out, there’s a Network option on there. Wonder what that’s for.
@Ben
I dare say it’s for DLC of some kind.
