A box inside a box. Boxception!
The inner box features more artwork of Joel and Ellie.
Upon opening the box you’re immediately greeted by the comic “American Dreams”.
A page from the comic.
Under the comic lies the steelbook, with Ellie on the front and Joel on the back.
Inside the steelbook. You get codes for the various DLC, and two Naughty Dog foil stickers.
Finally, the statue itself lies inside this monolithic foam box.
The statue is pretty well protected by the foam.
It also comes with this cardboard panorama thing which you can use as a background for the statue.
And finally here we are, the statue by Project Triforce itself. It’s quite solid, heavy, and pretty well detailed. My only complaint is that Ellie’s rifle isn’t super hard plastic, so the barrel can get a bit bent like mine here. You can check out more pics in the gallery below.
The statue itself is advertised as being worth $200 USD, however I did see it available by itself at EB Games Australia for a very brief time for about $150 AUD.
Overall, a good collector’s edition, quite expensive and obviously most of the money you’re paying is for the statue which is amazing, but I still wish there was another physical inclusion to sweeten the deal, maybe like an artbook or an actual CD for the soundtrack.
