Famitsu have released an article covering some of the original protagonist mecha and characters that we will be playing as in the upcoming Super Robot Wars UX, as well as some new attack screenshots.
Original Characters
Riot B
The Riot B is piloted by Arnius “Arnie” Belge. It is the Earth Federation’s next generation machine which is powered by a Proton Generator. It is currently equipped for close range combat, the B stands for Battler.
Orpheus
Richard Kruger is the leader of the organization known as “Unknown Strikers X”. His personal machine is the Orpheus, a mobile weapon of unknown origin. It is powered by a variation of the Proton Generator.
Raius
The Raius is piloted by Saya Kruger, the daughter of Richard. It’s a support machine that also functions as a fighter/bomber.

I’m pretty happy with the mech designs! I like them better than the protagonist’s mech in L, that one was a bit too colorful and contrasting for my tastes. These flow very well.
But I’m wondering what kind of upgrades we’re going to see out of these guys. The Riot especially seems prone to upgrades or variants in the plot, considering it’s specified to equipment type. I just hope they do have an upgrade at some point: L’s lack of an upgrade kind of killed my interest in the protagonist, especially because a lot of other main characters were getting plot upgrades, and all we got for the main character was another unit that could maybe bring him up to speed.
Still, looks good regardless!
