It’s time for speculation to run wild as GToys releases their MG Gunpla predictions for 2013, with the forecast likely to be filled with SEED and Unicorn releases.
80% chance
MG Sazabi v2.0/Ver.Ka
MG Delta Gundam Kai
Bandai surprised us late last year with the announcement and release of the Nu Gundam ver.Ka. Hailed as one of the best kits ever, it’s also created hype and set expectation for an updated version of the rival machine, the MG Sazabi, to be released. We’re getting a BB Senshi Sazabi release, maybe this is a sign of things to come?
The Unicorn anime is due to be finished this year, so Unicorn releases are up there as well. The Sinaju Stein and Rezel C kits was announced for early 2013, and they can easily reuse the mold of the Delta Plus for the Delta Gundam.
60% chance
MG Justice Gundam
MG Gundam Providence
MG Gundam Legend
MG Perfect Strike Gundam
The reasoning for all of the above is similar. The SEED anime was just remastered and re-released on Blu-ray last year, and we saw the rest of the X-frame Gundams get a release, as well as a Strike Gundam Remaster on the way. With Destiny getting the remaster treatment, we can probably assume that there’ll be some kind of Gunpla release to go with it, with Legend being the only major Gundam in the series yet to get a MG.
40% chance
MG Geara-Zulu
MG Geara Doga
MG Lotto
MG Jegan
MG GM II
MG Methuss
MG Hambrabi
MG Asshimar
MG Gyaplant
20% Chance
MG Hyakushiki v2.0
MG GN-XIV
MG Stargazer
MG Akatsuki
MG Saviour
MG Blast Impulse Gundam
MG Gaia Gundam
MG V2 Gundam
MG Knight Gundam
MG Zaku Warrior
MG Tallgeese II
MG Tallgeese III
MG Altron Gundam
I wish
…for an MG Gundam X to come out. We get surprises now and then like the Nu ver.Ka, so maybe this year? 😛
It’s also interesting to note, GToys correctly called every release in the 80% category last year, being the SEED X-Frame series, Unicorn Banshee, and Tallgeese.
