Thanks to a pricing error on JB Hifi’s site, I managed to acquire this Hero Edition of Infamous 2 at the cheep cheap price of $120. The package includes:
- inFamous 2 Special Edition game
- Adult Collectible Cole figurine
- inFamous comic book
- Cole’s sling bag
There’s also some DLC content:
- inFamous 2 soundtrack
- Original Cole and Kessler skins
- Golden amp
- Lightning Hook and Electrocution powers

Opening up the box reveals a more sturdy white cardboard box which holds all the goodies.
Cole’s man bag comes freshly sealed in some plastic.
The bag itself is pretty cool. There’s a main compartment as well as a smaller one on the front.
The figure comes with standard figure packaging to protect it. Cole also comes with a base which is a different piece, and can be connected by slotting a peg in Cole’s foot into it.
The figure is made of out good quality plastic. The paintjob is decent for the most part, but on some places it’s pretty bad, like his backpack.
Finally, the game itself. Note that the game itself is marked as ‘Special Edition’. There is also a plastic slipcase which holds the actual case itself. The actual case itself is one of those lenticular types, where depending on the angle it’s viewed at the picture is different. In this case, it’s Hero/Villain Cole.
Removing the slipcase we can see that it’s similar to the inFamous 1 Special Edition, where the game case is a cardboard 3 panel type. Inside the case, there are the codes for the Special/Hero Edition DLC stuff, as well as a coupon for purchasing inFamous 1 off the PSN store (now redundant thanks to the PSN welcome back package).
