Unboxing after the jump.
The box is pretty ordinary, except there’s a plastic window on the front side, so you can see the chest inside.
The chest itself doesn’t look bad at first glance, but upon touching it, feels very plasticy.
Opening the box reveals….nothing! I know, story of my life.
Actually theres another cover which can be lifted off using the red tab in the picture above. The codex sits at the top.
The codex cover is made out of a faux leather material. They’ve given the pages inside a rather rough look, with the pages looking aged. The pages sticking out are a nice touch too.
If you’ve played AC2, the contents of the codex are exactly that of the in game one that you have to collect. Although Altair’s writing looks like it has come straight out of MS Word.
At the end of the codex there are some miscellenaeous artworks.
Bonus DVD has some artwork and videos on it, but I haven’t checked it out myself yet.
The soundtrack comes in an identical looking cardboard slip as well.
The codes for the collector’s edition contents are inside the game case, which note, is not your regular SKU and does not have a barcode.
This spiffy looking AC:B envelope is included in the chest as well.
There are some random postcard sized artworks inside. The female assassin is teh hot!
The map of Rome doubles as a poster on the flip side, which is great, becuse the map doesn’t actually tell you anything useful on it.
Finally, you get a pack of character cards, which I have seemingly forgotten to open.
The contents in one shot.
A great collector’s edition in my opinion. I always expected the box to be a bit of a dissappointment, but the codex is pretty well done, although not quite as good as the Reach Halsey’s journal.
i like this game…..
tell me how to get hold one of these
